When you come in, our on-staff expert audiologist will conduct all of the necessary hearing tests and evaluations to develop the best hearing improvement plan for you. From there, we can take you through the entire hearing aid process from choosing the best hearing aid for your needs, to ensuring that it functions and fits properly, and even being available to make any repairs or adjustments down the road. Adult Hearing Tests and Evaluations

A complete audiological examination is the basic hearing examination. It consists of pure tone air and bone conduction testing as well as speech audiometry and immittance testing. Testing pure tones is done to determine the degree of hearing loss and whether the loss is conductive and sensorineural. Speech audiometry is obtained to determine the individuals ability to understand speech at an elevated comfortable level.

Pediatric Hearing Tests and Evaluations

Infants to adolescent children can not always be tested by conventional audiometry. In those cases various behavioral techniques can be used. In general children can be tested behaviorally using play audiometry, modified pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and immittance testing. In addition other techniques can be used such as OAEs.

Hearing Aid Evaluations

During this appointment, you and your hearing care professional will determine which type of hearing aid is most appropriate for you and your individual needs. This includes choosing the type of technology needed and your desired style of hearing aid. This choice will also reflect your budget, activity level and lifestyle.

Hearing Aids

We offer a wide variety of digital hearing aids from various manufacturers. We do not feel that one manufacturer is right for everyone. We will assist you in finding the best solution for your hearing needs that fit within your budget.

We realize purchasing hearing aids is a big investment. In order to obtain the best results from your investment, we at CornerStone Hearing include with all of our hearing instrument purchases:

* quarterly cleanings and adjustments
* yearly audiometric screenings
* 1-3 year loss and damage insurance
* 1-3 year repair warranty
* batteries provided for the life of the original manufacturers warranty
* 60 day trial period

Hearing Aid Repairs

Should your hearing aid need repairs and we cannot fix it in the office, we will send it back to the manufacturer. If the hearing aid is under warranty they will repair it at no cost to you. If the hearing aid is not under warranty and the patient desires it to be fixed, the manufacturer will repair it at a reasonable cost to you. We will provide loaner hearing aids whenever possible.

Ear Molds and Custom hearing protection

We offer a variety of custom ear molds and earpieces for swimmers, pilots, hunters, motorcycle riders, musicians, and IPOD users to name a few.

Assistive Listening Devices

We offer many types of assistive listening devices such as t-coil compatible earpieces for cell phone usage, TV ears, amplified telephones etc. Additionally, FM systems offer additional help in situations when hearing aids do not provide the necessary assistance.

Otoacoustic Emissions Testing

This is an objective test which measures hair cell function in the inner ear. An emission is a sound generated within the normal cochlea in response to stimulation. OAE testing is used for a number of reasons for both adults and children
